God’s Never Promises

When we think about Jesus, we tend to think of the things He promised to do, but there are some things He will never do as well. Never is such a strong word. We live in a world of temporary things that are often inconsistent. Jesus replaces all that inconsistency with a single word that doesn’t move. Ever. When He says, “Never,” He is giving us something we can count on. He’s giving us a rock to stand on in a world full of shifting sand. I love these lNever Promises” that He gives us. We don’t have to wonder if God is going to change His mind because these have been settled. This inconsistent world doesn’t get the last say. God does. These promises will never expire.

Here are some Bible verses on these “Never Promises”:

1. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.

John 14:16 NLT

2. Jesus said to her, “I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, relies on) Me [as Savior] will live even if he dies; and everyone who lives and believes in Me [as Savior] will never die. Do you believe this?”

John 11:25-26 AMP

3. My own sheep will hear my voice and I know each one, and they will follow me. I give to them the gift of eternal life and they will never be lost and no one has the power to snatch them out of my hands.

John 10:27-28 TPT

4. Jesus spoke to the Pharisees again. “I am the light of the world,” he said. “Whoever follows me will have the light of life and will never walk in darkness.”

John 8:12 GNT

5. Jesus replied to them, “I am the Bread of Life. The one who comes to Me will never be hungry, and the one who believes in Me [as Savior] will never be thirsty [for that one will be sustained spiritually].”

John 6:35 AMP
