New Year’s Prayer 2024

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for all you did in my life in 2023. I give you glory for the victories that were won, ask for help in understanding the losses and seek wisdom to grow from the challenges that this year brought. I know your ways are higher than mine, so I ask that you give me the strength to trust your ways when things didn’t happen the way I thought they should have. I trust you with my life, my health and my future. You know the every aspect of my life and see the greater picture you’re creating with my life. I choose to walk in the steps you have ordered for me in the coming year.

Let 2024 be the year of promises fulfilled in my life. I stand on your Word and trust you to complete the good work which you have already begun. Open doors in my life that no one can shut, and shut doors that no one can open. Make this the year that you restore what the locusts have stolen. Open the windows of Heaven to pour out blessings I’m unable to contain so that I may be a blessing to others. Use my life to make the lives of others better. Help me to point people to you. I receive from you all that you want to give me in this coming year. You know my greatest needs so I’m asking you to meet them. Bring healing where there is brokenness. Bring your strength where there are weaknesses. Bring grace where I fall short.

I ask that you would help me to put on your full armor so that I may stand when everything else seems to crumble around me. Help me to fight the good fight and to take ground this year. Expand my territory and keep your hand of favor on my life. Bring the right relationships into my life that will help me to get where you’re leading me and place me in other people’s lives so I can help them get to where you’re wanting them to go. Let this year bring me into a closer relationship with you. Open my mind to understand your Word like never before and open my heart to receive the seeds you want to plant so that my life will produce the fruit you want it to.

I give you thanks for what you’re going to do this year.

New Year’s Prayer 2020

Each hear I start off with a prayer you can pray and personalize.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for all you did for me and through me in the last year. You were my strength when I couldn’t stand, my hope when I felt like I had none and my way maker when I couldn’t see the path forward. Thank you for providing for all of my needs. You continue to prove yourself faithful even when I fall short. Forgive me for the times I’ve tried to make you fit inside my box of who I think you should be. Help me to trust you more in the coming year and decade so that I can live the life you’ve called me too. I want to walk in the paths you’ve laid out for me instead of the ones I think are best.

I pray that you would fill me with inspiration and a fountain of hope. Holy Spirit, I invite you to live through me so I can live through you. Open my eyes so I can see the things you need me to see. Show me people through your lens so I can love them the way you want me to. Open my heart so I can love others the way you’ve called me to love them. Open my mouth so I can speak life into the people you will put in my path. Help me to fulfill the potential you see in me. Give me the courage to follow you where you’re leading me and the faith to trust what you say more than what I see. Fill me with your joy so I will have the strength to endure anything that comes my way. Help me to remain steadfast trusting in you and the promises found in your Word.

I ask that you bless the 2020’s of my life. Let your hand of favor rest on me and my family in the coming years. Open the windows of Heaven and pour out the blessings you see fit for us so that we can be a blessing to others and point them to you. Give me wisdom in my decisions, and place people in my life who can help me accomplish all you need me to. Put me in the lives of others whom I can help as well. Continue to pour out your grace on my life and help me to be a fountain of your grace to others. Speak to me and through me so I can be a conduit of your peace on earth. Use me any way you see fit. I recognize my life is not my own. It was bought with the price of your Son’s death. So I ask that you help me to do exceedingly and abundantly more than I can even imagine so that you will be glorified through my life. I give the next year and decade to you and place it in your capable hands so you can lead me farther than I thought I could go. Thank you once again for all you’ve done and are going to do in and through me.

2014 New Year Prayer

Today, I offer a prayer for you to pray to bring in the new year.

Jesus,

Thank you for 2013 and all the things that you showed me through it. Thank you for the victories and answers to prayers that you gave. Help me to continue to learn from the defeats I faced and the changes that you made in my life. I may never fully understand why things happened this year that weren’t part of my plan, but were a part of yours. Even when I don’t understand, help me to trust you still. Bring healing to the pain I’ve endured and turn my mourning into joy. My life is in your hands and everything I have is yours.

In 2014, I ask that you guide me in everything I do. Help me to walk in your paths and to find the doors that you’ve opened for me. Give me the courage to walk through them even when I can’t see what’s on the other side. You’ve called me to live by faith and that means that I won’t always know what the next step is. I just have to trust you and your timing. I ask that in my weakness you will be my strength. In my blindness, you will be my sight. In my shortcomings, you will be my grace.

Teach me to show your love more proactively than I ever have in this new year. Help me to not respond in hate to the things the world throws at me that I don’t like. I want to be your light in this dark place. I want to build bridges that the lost can walk across rather than to dig ditches that keep them away. Help me to react out of love instead of hate or fear. Teach me to reach out to the lost the way you did. I want to honor you with my life this year more than in any other year of my life so far.

Open my eyes to see those whom you called “the least of these”. Let me be your hands and feet in their lives. Give me the strength to share your love through my actions whenever you bring them into my path. Provide the funds that it will take to travel to other parts of the world so I can share your love with those whom the world has abandoned. Give me a heart that loves the unlovable, hands that do your will, a heart that beats in tune with yours, feet that will carry the Gospel, eyes to see others the way you do and a mouth that speaks your words.

I commit 2014 to you. May this year bring new beginnings where previous years have looked like dead ends. Speak life into the dead areas of my life. Bring people into my life that will help me accomplish all that you want me to. Place me in people’s lives that need my help to accomplish the plans you have for them. Expand my territory so that I can influence more for your kingdom. Open up the windows of Heaven and pour out blessings in my life so I can be a blessing in the lives of others. Use me in whatever capacity you see fit so that your name is glorified.

Thank you for all you will do this year. In your name I pray. Amen.
