When we talk about the heart in the Bible, we’re talking about more than your blood pumping muscle. It’s talking about the core of who you are. It’s the place where your thoughts, will, emotions and character come from. It’s also the place where God chooses to meet us and to pour more of who He is and what He wants in our life. He does that because it’s the control center of our whole person. Make sure you are opening your heart up to Him so He can put what He needs to in there. It’s one more way in which we are transformed from the inside out.

1. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

2. I delight to fulfill your will, my God, for your living words are written upon the pages of my heart.
Psalms 40:8 TPT
3. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

4. Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.
II Thessalonians 3:5 NKJV
5. Endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
